Never Fear, FLIN Is Here!

If you are looking for a book in our LS2 catalog and can’t find it, just click on the FLIN (Florida Library Information Network) link. Alternatively, just go to our website at pascolibraries.org, toggle your mouse over "Catalog/Research" and click on "FLIN."

This link will take you to the Florida Electronic Search screen where you can request books from libraries statewide. You may request books published at least 12 months ago and sheet music.
Books on tape or CD, tapes or CD’s, DVDs and other media may not be requested.

Fans of anime, manga, and Japanese culture… this club is for you!  The Anime & Manga Club meets each month in the Centennial Park Library.  Our next meeting will be Saturday, November 21, 2009.  In the meetings, we discuss all aspects of Japanese culture and life, taste foods from Japan, and watch the latest and greatest offerings from the anime world.  New members and discussion topic ideas are always welcome.  Parental permission slips are required for members under 18.

Have you ever received an email with an image or file in it and wondered to yourself, "How do I do that?".  The Pasco County Library System may have a course to help you answer that question.

As part of the ongoing Technology series of classes at the Pasco County Library System, the Centennial Park Library is offering the course, "How Do I Do That?".  In this course, we'll be explaining how to search for, download, & upload content from the web and your computer.  We'll also explore the various ways to attach that content to email.

Join us at the Centennial Park Library on Saturday, November 3, 2009 to discuss the latest book from Chris Bohjalian, "Before You Know Kindness".

This is Bohjalian's eighth novel.  As in his previous work, Mr. Bohjalian's story focuses on a family, with a large ensemble of characters, during moments of crisis.  You can read an editorial review of the book here or reserve the book here (you will need to have a valid Pasco County Library Card to place any reserves) Drinks and dessert provided by the Friends of the Library.
